Botanical Perfume Blending with Bloom Lab Perfumerie

Taught by: Sarah Yeager

Workshop Fee: $144.00

Immerse yourself in the ancient and evocative world of fragrance at the Bloom Lab Perfumerie Workshop, an exclusive, sensory-rich experience. Explore the history, philosophy, and hands-on techniques behind creating perfumes entirely from plants.

The day begins with storytelling, delving into the rich history of perfumery. From there, we’ll explore the ingredients and extraction methods that define botanical perfumery.

You’ll then be guided through a poetic fragrance design exercise—crafted to bring intention and artistry to the creation of your own personal scent.

The “Lab” portion of the day begins with both group and individual exploration of the available ingredients. From there, each student will identify their own unique combination of top, middle, and base notes—laying the foundation for a bespoke eau de parfum.

You’ll have the opportunity to blend up to three 5ml sample bottles, allowing you to iterate and refine your formula with each version. Once your final blend is perfected, you’ll create and bottle a full-size 30ml perfume to enjoy—and share with the world.

The day concludes with a return to your fragrance design work, where you’ll name your signature scent—arguably the most delightful part of the process!
