NOW HIRING STUDIOS MANAGER
Sanborn Mills Farm is seeking a Studios Manager to oversee the safe, efficient, and professional operation of our traditional and heritage craft studios—including woodworking, blacksmithing, fiber arts, weaving, basketry, and more.
This role works closely with program and operations leadership to support instructors and students, ensure studio readiness, and uphold the highest standards of safety and care—while advancing our mission of hands-on craft education on a historic working farm.

Horse-Drawn Sleigh Rides
Hop aboard a magical horse-drawn sleigh ride through the farm’s scenic wooded trails and open fields. Perfect for families, friends, or a romantic outing, each ride lasts 45 minutes and departs from the Red House. Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled ride and be ready to board 5 minutes beforehand. Dates available include January 31st and February 14th, 21st, and 28th. Dress warmly, and feel free to bring a cozy blanket for extra comfort. After your ride, gather around with a cup of hot chocolate or coffee and enjoy a small treat on us, warming up after a memorable winter adventure.
Guided Winter Trail Hike
Join us Sunday, February 15th at 10:30 AM for a 1.2-mile round-trip guided hike through fields, forests, ponds, and islands. With a 150-foot elevation gain, this approximately 1.5-hour hike offers stunning views from open meadows, a chance to explore Sanborn Pond and its island, and glimpses of the forest in its winter quiet. Along the way, you’ll hear stories of Sanborn Mills Farm’s history and learn to identify trees in their winter forms. Traction devices are required, and hiking poles are highly recommended. Snowshoes may also be needed. Please come prepared for a winter hike. Meet in the Dining Hall.

Join fly-fishing expert Jamie Eisenberg for a 2-day workshop where you’ll craft your own personalized, ready-to-fish fly rod from scratch—complete with custom grips, thread wraps, and finish.

Learn the timeless craft of wool rug braiding as you create a one-of-a-kind braided rug—choosing your own colors and patterns while building solid technique, honoring tradition, and stitching stories of hearth and home into every row.
