From Miniature Marbling to Tiny Books
Workshop Fee: $720.00
Half of this workshop will be dedicated to learning how to marble paper on a small and then a miniature scale. Students will work on half-size professional tanks with precision combs learning how to make well-crafted small, marbled patterns. Finer, more delicate tools will be introduced, and students will learn the idiosyncrasies of working with very fine precision marbling combs as they produce beautiful miniature marbled papers and learn that smaller does not mean easier.
The last half of the workshop will be devoted to working on making a series of smaller book structures as was done with the marbling by developing the skills and confidence to go from small to smaller to tiny. The marbled paper used for a book cover will be in sync with the size of the book as all the students will have a ready supply.
Materials Fee: $90 paid directly to the instructor.
