Tisane ~ The Art of Growing, Foraging For and Blending Herbal Teas

In this class, participants will explore connections between the history of garden, landscape and herbalism and how they can all be melded into a teapot and a sense of well-being.

Join John Forti in an exploration of Sanborn Mills Farm’s gardens and landscapes for tea ingredients.  Along the way, participants will learn the arts of cultivating and foraging for herbs and wild spices. As a group, will explore the historical and contemporary use of each botanical gathered, how to understand flavor profiles, wildcraft wellness, and how to blend your own infusions, decoctions and pots of daily well-being.

Materials Fee: None. John will have copies of his book for sale “The Heirloom Gardener – Plants and Skills for the Modern World” for optional purchase.

Special Tools or Equipment to bring: Though not required, participants can bring a favorite teapot, cup or mug to help personalize the experience.
