Build a Traditional Wall Box
Workshop Fee: $360.00
In this class, students will build a wall box based on historic designs and their own creative vision. The object is a classic piece of early American cabinetry. They were typically used to store candles or smoking pipes but their simple design made customizing them to suit your needs simple. Using a combination of handwork and machine work students will build and decorate a simple functional piece to enjoy.
No previous experience needed.
Skills and Techniques:
- Working with small/thin material
- Hand cutting joinery
- Using a bandsaw
- Using a scroll saw
- Designing decorative details
Materials Fee: $30 paid directly to the instructor.
Special Tools or Equipment to bring: Notebook and pen.
