News and Updates from Sanborn Mills Farm

Our farm-to-table lunches and community events are back! We have scheduled lunch dates and community events through July.
Our community events are a celebration of connection, learning, and shared experiences—and because we believe everyone should be able to join in, they’re always free to the public. From garden tours to traditional farming demonstrations, these gatherings are made possible by our dedicated staff and the generous support of folks like you; while there’s no required fee, we suggest a $10 donation to help cover costs. Many events are weather‑dependent, so please sign up on the events page to receive timely updates.
Our farm‑to‑table lunches are the delicious culmination of each event, where guests can gather to savor seasonal dishes crafted entirely from our farm’s bounty. Advanced registration is required for these meals, which feature fresh vegetables and meats that have been grown on site. Be sure to reserve your spot online today!

Lamb Update!
We’re thrilled to announce that we now have 18 healthy lambs bounding through the pastures! They’re thriving in the fresh spring air, growing quickly and full of playful energy. To keep them well-nourished and on lush forage, the farm team has set up a rotational grazing system, moving the lambs to fresh paddocks regularly for optimal pasture health and animal welfare.
Viking Seax & Intro to Spinning on a Wheel

Only two spots left in this workshop where students will forge their own authentic Viking seax. Start with raw steel and end with a fully functional 4″ – 6″ blade with handcrafted wood and buffalo horn handle.

Only one spot remains for this beginner spinning workshop, where students will learn wheel mechanics, spin, ply, and finish their own handspun yarn working with natural and hand-dyed combed wool.
