Patrick Slaven
Patrick Slaven joined Sanborn Mills Farm in the summer of 2026 as Manager of Communications and External Affairs. Drawn to places where stories, craftsmanship, and community intersect, he sees communications as more than marketing—it is the work of helping people discover why places matter.
Patrick studied business management as an undergraduate and pursued graduate studies in business and philosophy, experiences that shaped his belief that organizations thrive when their purpose is clearly and authentically shared. Throughout his career, he has helped bring innovative ideas to market and amplify the missions of organizations dedicated to meaningful work.
A California transplant now happily rooted in New Hampshire, Patrick and his wife are raising their two children to appreciate rural life, traditional skills, and the simple joy of making things by hand. A lifelong baseball enthusiast, he believes the game teaches many of the same lessons found at Sanborn Mills Farm: patience, teamwork, tradition, and the understanding that the most meaningful accomplishments are built one small act at a time. He hopes every story he tells about Sanborn Mills inspires someone to visit, learn, and become part of this remarkable community.
