Shaker Style Step Stool

In this class, students will make a 2 step step-stool inspired by ones used by the shaker communities in America. Students will learn to hand cut and fit both dovetail and mortice and tenon joinery. We will use hand tools to add detail and achieve finished surfaces. Lastly we will discuss finishing options and other variations of the piece.

Materials Fee: $19 paid to SMF at check-in. The fee covers wood.
