Spring Herbal Medicine Making: Self Care Through the Seasons
Workshop Fee: $140.00
Spring is a time of rebirth and emergence. As flowers begin to bloom and bits of green pop up between sidewalk cracks, the season offers a sense of renewal and excitement. Our bodies crave care in that transition into spring, which the earth provides in the form of wild greens and bitter roots. In this daylong workshop, we will learn the basics of herbal medicine making and spring self-care. We will start with a plant ID walk to get to know the wild and weedy plants of Sanborn Mills Farm, harvesting some to craft tonics to keep us well through the spring season. We will discuss herbal energetics and get to know the plants on an embodied level. Expect to make and take home a nourishing spring vinegar, an herbal bitters blend for digestive support, a gardener’s hand salve, and learn tips for self-care for this season! Join us as we tap into the magic of springtime. Beginners and folks with some medicine-making experience are warmly welcome.
