Autumn Herbal Medicine Making: Self Care through the Seasons
Workshop Fee: $140.00
Autumn in New England is a time of turning inward after the long days of summer. Our bodies begin to crave a deeper tending and immune support. In Autumn Herbal Medicine Making, students will learn about wild and weedy plants at Sanborn Mills and the basics of herbal medicine preparation! We will begin the day with a plant ID walk and harvest, which we will weave into our hand-crafted herbal products. Then we will head back to the studio and create beautiful seasonal tonics and learn about plants to keep us well. In this class, we will learn about mindful foraging and herbal energetics, as well as how to make a tincture, an elixir, and an infused oil that we will turn into a salve. Handmade herbal products are wonderful both as gifts and self-care as we move into winter, and each student will leave with one of each item we make. Join us for a day of tending and community! Beginners and folks with some medicine-making experience are warmly welcome. Learn More About the Instructor Here
