Come Explore our Farm

Experience a day of wholesome fun at our annual open farm day! Enjoy craft demonstrations,  horse wagon rides, and saw mill and grist mill demonstrations. Explore our historic buildings, meet with our friendly farm animals, and let your kiddos create at our kids craft tent. Don’t forget to treat yourself to a farm-grown lunch, the perfect finale to a day filled with joy and discovery. 

This event is open to the public. A Suggested donation of $10/per family is greatly appreciated!

 

Grist Mill Demonstrations

Witness history come to life at our historic grist mill which dates back to 1830. Gain a newfound appreciation for the vital role this historic landmark played in shaping the community and sustaining generations of families.

Saw Mill Demonstrations

Watch as our historic saw mill transforms raw logs into lumber. Rumored to be the only water powered saw mill with both a circular saw and up and down saw this mill stands as a reminder of the innovation of the past.

Garden Tours

Wander through the ornate terraced gardens, where meticulously tended blooms paint a canvas of color and fragrance and visit our dye garden and willow coppice where materials are regularly harvested for our craft programs.

Horse Wagon Rides

Hop on our horse-drawn wagon and feel the rhythm of hoofbeats as you explore the scenic beauty of our farm. An enchanting experience for the whole family.

Craft Demonstrations

Watch our skilled instructors showcase their craft and learn about their program offerings. From woodworking and blacksmithing to basketry and fiber arts there is something for everyone. 

Farm Grown Food

Indulge in a delicious farm-grown lunch crafted by out Chef Kelly Fahey. Meal options include  a salad bursting with seasonal produce, a hearty soup or a tasty sandwich. Every bite is a celebration of local agriculture!
