Kristin Arzt

Kristin Arzt

Kristin Arzt is a natural dyer, educator, gardener, and designer who teaches workshops and leads retreats across the country. With deep roots in the fiber community, she has served on the board of Local Cloth and has been actively involved in multiple regional Fibersheds—from Northern California to the Mid-Atlantic and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Kristin’s work explores the intersection of textiles, plants, and sustainability, with the goal of making natural dyeing accessible through education, experimentation, and joy. A lifelong learner and RYT-200 yoga practitioner, she is currently pursuing her third yoga teacher training and often weaves mindfulness and somatic practices into her creative teaching. When she’s not leading in-person or online courses, Kristin tends her seasonal dye garden, growing plants for hands-on experimentation and sharing seeds with students. Her passion for natural color has taken her around the world to study with teachers including Catharine Ellis, Joy Boutrup, Kathy Hattori, and many others. She has also had the honor of assisting Yoshiko Wada and Tomoko Torimaru.
