Join Us for an Evening of Craft, Community, and Connection
Sanborn Mills Farm warmly invites our community to celebrate the opening of two special exhibitions that honor the journey from raw material to finished work—a story that lives at the heart of everything we do. These exhibitions offer a compelling glimpse into the full arc of making, from field and forest to objects of beauty, utility, and meaning.
We are honored to be part of Materials to Masterpiece, opening April 2 at the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen Gallery in Concord. This exhibition highlights the evolution of traditional and contemporary craft, featuring unfinished pieces alongside completed works to illuminate the process, skill, and artistic vision behind each creation.
At the same time, the New Hampshire Furniture Masters will present a companion exhibition, Farm to Table, at the Concord Gallery in the same building, on view through May 29. This show features master furniture makers who have taught at or share a meaningful connection with Sanborn Mills Farm, celebrating the artistry and mentorship that continue to shape the craft community.

Curious about fly fishing? Join us for a hands-on introduction to the basics—gear, casting, knots, and reading the water. After practicing on the lawn, we’ll head to the Sanborn Mill Pond to put new skills into action. No experience needed—just a willingness to learn and enjoy time outdoors.
Learn to create two types of indigo vats—a fructose vat and an iron vat—while exploring the advantages and challenges of each method. You’ll also learn how to maintain a healthy vat for prolonged use. Ideal for beginners and those with experience, come enjoy the wonderful world of Indigo.
