Jill Hawkins

Jill (she/her) learned many types of handcrafts from an early age while growing up in England. She learned to make bobbin lace in 1985 and has been teaching bobbin lace for over 20 years.

She has taught beginning bobbin lace workshops for the New England Lace Group, and regularly teaches students from her home. While she has studied with many lace teachers and learned to make a variety of different types of lace, her passion lies with two of the English laces: Buckinghamshire (“Bucks”) Point and Bedfordshire.

Her goal is to share her passion and enthusiasm for bobbin lace and to pass on her knowledge to keep lace alive for the future.
