Housekeeper

Position Overview

Sanborn Mills Farm seeks a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Housekeeper who understands that care of the place is a form of stewardship.

This role supports guest lodging, common areas, studios, and event spaces across our historic campus. The housekeeper ensures that each space reflects the integrity, beauty, and hospitality that define Sanborn Mills Farm.

This is an ongoing part-time position with consistent weekly hours and a structured rotating schedule.

Key Responsibilities

· General cleaning: dusting, vacuuming, mopping, surface care

· Bathroom sanitization and supply restocking

· Guest room turnover: changing linens, restocking towels, preparing rooms for arrival

· Laundry: washing, folding, and organizing linens and towels

· Light organization in shared spaces and studios

· Preparing spaces in advance of workshops and farm-to-table events

· Maintaining orderly supply, storage, and inventory awareness

· Communicating maintenance or repair concerns to the Director of Operations

Work will take place in historic buildings, guest accommodations, event spaces, and shared facilities. Attention to detail and respect for older structures are essential.

Schedule & Structure

· Hours: 15–20 hours per week

· Schedule: 4 days per week, 5 hours per day

· Shift Options: Morning or Afternoon (based on rotation)

· Weekend Rotation: Alternating weekend coverage as part of a two-week rotating schedule

Qualifications

· Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred

· Strong attention to detail and pride in thorough work

· Reliability and punctuality

· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

· Comfort working in a dynamic environment with seasonal fluctuations

· Own transportation

· References available upon request

· Background check may be required

Compensation

Hourly rate of $18-$20 per hour based on experience.
