Join basketry instructor Ruth Boland for a hands-on workshop on October 4–5, where you’ll create a beautiful and practical twill-patterned tote. Using dyed and natural materials, you’ll learn techniques like twilling, twining, and rim lashing to craft a sturdy tote approximately 9″ high, 16″ long, and 10″ deep.
Unlock the charm of colorwork without the fuss on October 4. Join us for a full-day Mosaic Knitting workshop taught by Donna Kay. You’ll learn to knit striking slip-stitch patterns using one color at a time, no stranded colorwork needed, and you’ll leave with a sampler and a pair of hand warmers that showcase your new skills.
Join instructor Kristen Lukach on October 4–5 for a hands-on workshop where you’ll craft functional and decorative brooms using traditional techniques. Join instructor Emiliano Carrillo from October 8–12 for a comprehensive five-day workshop where you’ll forge a 6″–8″ high-carbon kitchen knife from start to finish. This intermediate-level class covers forging, grinding, heat treatment, handle fitting, and polishing, culminating in a polished blade with a multi-piece handle featuring a metal or organic bolster and a wooden grip.
