Our Oxen Basics Workshop will teach you everything from selecting the right team to proper yoking, halter training, and mastering essential voice commands. With hands-on practice navigating a team using real farm equipment, you’ll gain confidence working with these powerful animals under the guidance of experienced teamsters. This workshop provides a safe and supportive environment to learn the fundamentals of oxen handling.

Our Bowl Turning Basics workshops focus on the art of crafting wooden bowls. Participants learn to harvest and process wood blanks, sharpen tools, and safely operate a lathe. The curriculum covers rough turning, drying techniques to minimize cracking, and finishing methods, allowing students to complete their own hand-turned bowl.

Our Blacksmithing Basics workshops cater to both beginners and those with some experience, providing hands-on instruction in fundamental techniques such as working with a coal-fired forge, understanding metallurgy, and creating basic projects like hooks and trivets.
