Join Us for

Open Farm Day, June 18

One of the most fun — and most anticipated! — days of the year at Sanborn Mills Farm is our Open Farm Day. This year the Day will be on Sunday, June 18, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. You won’t want to miss the opportunity to see our Sawmill and Grist Mill in action, watch blacksmithing demonstrations, tour the gardens, walk through our historic barns, Grange, and state-of-the-art dye and woodworking studios, and get up and close and personal with our gentle-giant draft oxen and draft horses. Plus: food, music, exhibits, and a kids’ craft tent.

Pop-Up Lunches and Garden Tour

Our schedule of Pop-Up Lunches now includes dates in June, July, and August. Click here to see the list of dates and to register for these great opportunities to enjoy meals prepared by our Head Chef Kelly Fahey from ingredients grown here on the Farm. Registration is required to attend the lunches.

Prior to the Pop-Up Lunch on June 23rd, take a tour of the Farm’s beautiful gardens with our Head Gardener Helen Westergren, who will provide details about the extensive plantings and will be happy to answer questions.

Buy Farm-Grown Vegetables Online

While our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) subscription program is fully subscribed for 2023, you can still purchase vegetables online from Sanborn Mills Farm. Right now we have fresh red and green romaine lettuce and fresh spinach available — as the growing season continues, more vegetables will be on offer. Click here for more information and pricing.

Meet Our Instructors:

Donna Kay,

Patty Williams

A knitting instructor for more than 25 years, Donna Kay is also an accomplished handspinner. She enjoys sharing her knowledge of traditional knitting and spinning techniques with her students. Donna is also a freelance knitwear designer and author for publications such as Interweave Knits, PLY, Spin Off and her company, Tree of Life Designs. In July she will teach two workshops at the Farm, Knitted Norwegian Teddy Sweater, July 8-9, and Fleece to Skein: Wheel or Spindle on July 15. Patty Williams is the owner of Aker Fiber Farm in Enfield Center, N.H., where she has grown and processed flax for 10 years. A knitter, spinner, dyer, designer, and instructor, Patty grew up working in fibers and now has been active in fiber arts for more than 30 years. At the Farm this summer she will teach Flax Seed to Linen Yarn and Beyond from August 2-6. Click here for more information and to register.
