Announcing the 2015 Sanborn Mills Farm Internship Program

The days are getting longer and before we know it, maple sap will be running and gardeners will be planning for next season’s bounty.

Here at Sanborn Mills Farm, our plans include starting a seed saving program, increasing the use of draft animals for power on the farm, and planting a new garden dedicated to dyers’ plants.

To help us achieve our goals, we are looking for one to two farm interns to help us this summer. It is a great opportunity to work closely with our Farm Educator Tom McQuade and learn about our sustainable farming program firsthand. Benefits include compensation and housing. The deadline for applying is March 16. To learn more, click here for the Farm Internship position description and how to apply.

Please share this opportunity as broadly as possible with family, friends and organizations who can help us get the word out!

As a reminder, the 2015 workshops are up on our website and you can view them as a list or check them out on our calendar. We just added “Oxen Basics for the Teamster & Team.” which will be held on August 1 & 2.
