Looking for just the right gift for that hard-to-buy-for friend or family member? Consider a gift certificate for any 2024 workshop at the Farm. Our workshops cover a wide variety of craft and skills, from making and using natural dyes to basketry to blacksmithing to wood-working to learning how to work with draft animals, among many other choices. We have a workshop for almost any interest involving traditional craft and skills.

Join Our Natural Dye Study Group

The Natural Dye Study Group aims to connect individuals interested in natural dyes, providing a platform for sharing work, asking questions, and accessing resources. Led by Sara Goodman, the Farm’s lead dye studio instructor, the initiative offers live Zoom sessions with Sara, a private Facebook Group for sharing work and asking questions, and an in-studio Dye Day with Sara. Study Group members can also apply to potentially assist in natural dye workshops at Sanborn Mills Farm, receiving free classes in exchange. A $25 registration fee covers access to the Facebook group and Zoom sessions, while in-studio sessions have an additional fee.

The full schedule of 2024 workshops at the Farm, running from April into November, is now available on our website. Click on any workshop title for more information and to register.

The variety of workshops next year is truly impressive, from our traditional blacksmithing courses to wood-turning to basketry to several textile workshops to gardening and working with draft animals — and much, much more. Multi-day workshops offer the option of staying at the Farm overnight, with meals included.

Many of our workshops are fully subscribed months in advance, so if there’s a workshop of particular interest to you, don’t hesitate to register.
