News and Updates from Sanborn Mills Farm

— November 29, 2023 —

The earth was our home, she would have said, but no less was it home to the oxen that pulled our plows or the elephants that roamed in the forest and worked for us. They lived with us as partners whose well-being was inseparable from our own.

This Saturday at the Farm: Winter Market and Farm-Made Wreaths

The annual Winter Market at the Farm begins this Saturday, Dec. 2, at 10 a.m., featuring goods produced by several of our workshop instructors. Shop at the Market for beautiful textiles, hand-made baskets, hand-forged blacksmith items, and many other crafts. Enjoy wonderful music by guitarist Jeremy Morse and delicious food prepared by Head Chef Kelly Fahey as you peruse the Market. It’s truly a festive occasion in beautiful Fifield Hall at the Farm.

In addition, holiday wreaths made by our Gardens staff, including Head Gardener Helen Westergren and Assistant Gardener Madison St. George, will be available for pick-up. The wreaths, which come in two sizes, 18-inch diameter and 24-inch diameter, with a choice of ribbon color, can be pre-ordered — click here to order. A limited number of wreaths will be available for sale at the Market.

See you at the Market!
