More Dates Added for Pop-Up Lunches; Lunch and Garden Tour Sept. 14
Several more dates for the popular Pop-Up Lunches at Sanborn Mills Farm have been added to the late summer/fall calendar. The next Pop-Up Lunch is scheduled for August 31. The Lunch on Sept. 14 will be preceded by a Garden Tour hosted by head gardener Helen Westergren.
Our Pop-Up Lunches, prepared by head chef Kelly Fahey, offer a delicious array of foods grown right here on the Farm — a true farm-to-table experience.

Bend and Brunch!
First we Bend… then we Brunch at the Farm!
Stacey Morin from Powerful YOU Yoga will lead a Yoga class at Sanborn Mills Farm on Sunday, Sept. 17, beginning at 10 a.m., followed by a special brunch prepared by the Farm’s head chef Kelly Fahey.

Annual Farm to Table Dinner, September 9
Join us at the Farm on Saturday, September 9, for our annual Farm to Table Dinner featuring a delicious multiple-course meal prepared from Farm-raised ingredients by head chef Kelly Fahey. This don’t-miss-it event benefits the Sanborn Mills Farm Scholarship Program.

Mark Making with Handmade Brushes and the Drum Leaf Book Structure
November 4-5
Instructor: Anne McMillan
Explore Mark Making and Book Arts in this two-day class. From the process of making our own brushes using collected items from nature and other found objects and then using them to put mark to paper in free form expression. A focus on the art of the book will emphasize the Japanese Flutter Book and Butterfly Book as well as Drum Leaf binding.The Drum Leaf Book iss a perfect binding for photographers, printmakers and all artist who would like to present their work in a structure that has a full page spread and opens flat.

Felt Area Rugs: Traditional Turkish Rug Beating
November 8-12
Instructor: Jo Hesse
In this five-day workshop students will make their own fully functional felt area rug. Students will learn to “kick” the felt with a dance-like rhythm that can be sustained for days on end. The majority of the workshop will take place on the floor; on the final day, students will hand-finish their rugs on a tabletop. Wool processing and purchasing as well as rug care will be discussed. All experience levels are welcome.
