Statement from Sanborn Mills Farm Concerning the Coronavirus Situation

April and May Classes & Workshops at Sanborn Mills Farm Cancelled

The safety and well-being of the guests and staff of Sanborn Mills Farm are always our primary concerns, as are the safety and well-being of our neighbors and community. Without exception, recent and future decisions at the Farm grow from this concern. In light of recommendations by the Centers for Disease Control and local health authorities to help control the spread of COVID-19, we are cancelling our
April and May schedule of classes and workshops at Sanborn Mills Farm. We are also closing the Farm to all outside visitors for April. Only essential staff will be present.

If you have already registered and paid for an April class or workshop, you will receive a 
full refund on registration, material costs, and housing with no cancellation fee. 
Also, please continue to check our website for any new announcements regarding re-scheduled classes.  

We apologize for any inconvenience this unprecedented two-months-long cancellation causes. We appreciate your understanding as well as our continuing relationship as we all work together to do what’s right for our families, friends, neighbors, communities, and country during this difficult time. As you know, Sanborn Mills Farm is dedicated to keeping old skills and techniques alive so they can be applied to the present and future; now, we look for wisdom and skills from the past that may help us understand and improve this new, strange present.

Thank you for your continuing friendship with Sanborn Mills Farm and for your dedication to our collective project. The community you have helped us create brings meaning and value to our staff, our families, and our neighbors — especially now — and it is the foundation we will build on when our classes and workshops return as soon as it is wise to do so.
