Join Us in Supporting Sanborn Mills Farm
Dear Friends of Sanborn Mills Farm,
The Tuesday after Thanksgiving is now designated as “Giving Tuesday,” a day when people are encouraged to make gifts to non-profits like the Farm. We hope you will add the Farm to the list of those to whom you feel deserving of support. We are asking — for the first time in the history of the Farm — for several reasons.
First, we want to keep the costs of our programs down and accessible to all. Your gift donation will help make our programs affordable to others.
Second, we are nearing the end of our infrastructure build-out, which means that soon we will be able to welcome visitors to all parts of our properties. Your donation will help offset the costs of hosting visitors, including yourself, to the Farm.
Third, our founders Paula and Colin Cabot have supported the creation of the studio spaces, the common areas for participants, and support for a residential community of artisans, without having asked for support from the wider community. Since the benefits of the studio spaces and common areas extend chiefly to the wider community, we hope you will consider supporting our efforts and programs.
Finally, while we have an endowment in place to fund maintenance of the Farm’s infrastructure so that these costs do not impact our programming, your donation will help ensure that workshops at Sanborn Mills Farm will be able to continue far into the future. You will be supporting our mission to preserve and to teach traditional crafts and farming methods while sustainably using the Farm’s field and forest resources.
