Introduction to Finishing for Woodworkers
Workshop Fee: $432.00
A three day course that will cover the full range of hand-applied finishes used in fine furniture. Students will learn how to prepare material for finishing, choose an appropriate finish for any project and then apply that finish correctly using a brush, pad or rag. Students will complete five practical exercises using a variety of finishes and coloring agents that cover the full range of finish types used in fine woodworking.
Students will leave class with a series of 5 sample boards they can use as a reference for future finishing. The class is open to woodworkers of all skill levels. No prior finishing experience is necessary.
Please note that due to the long transit time needed to acquire materials for this workshop, we will need a final head count of students 4 weeks prior to the start date. Registration will close October 9, 2026. Sign up early to avoid disappointment!

Materials Fee: $165 for wood, wood prep, and finishing materials. Paid directly to the instructor.
